After fourteen years, Captain Kaede Kayano returns to Starfleet Service. Her old command the USS Yamato is currently in drydock in danger of being decommissioned after being badly damaged in a recent conflict. Therefore with her return, Kaede re-takes command of the Yamato ensuring that the ship can once again fly amongst the stars.
